This is the remixed and remastered version of a set of tracks I produced for a lock-down gig for Whitby Festival in 2020 (see www.whitbyfolk.co.uk or www.facebook.com/whitbyfolkweek for more info and future festivals etc). Originally expected to be me playing live, I came to realise that Techno Playford was going to require more attention to variation in drums at different points in the tunes, and wasn't something I could easily do entirely on my own and live. So I prerecorded the tracks so I could arrange a drum part and then layer a few parts over those. As such it had to be recorded in quite a hurry and I rarely had time to do anything other than use the first take of each track. So this is what I think of as "psudeo-live" or "liveish".

To my surprise there was considerable interest in me releasing the tracks as an album, and revisting them now, despite their liveish nature, they are still tight and have plenty of energy and character. So here they are for your delectation and delight, and dance.
